Ridgefield, Connecticut, February 21, 2017 – Owl Computing Technologies, Inc. (www.owlcti.com), the leading provider of deterministic data diode cybersecurity solutions, is proud to announce that all products in the OPDS product line have been tested and certified to meet Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2) or higher for security trustworthiness.
In this latest round of testing, the CSC Security Testing/Certification Laboratories performed testing on the core DualDiode Communication Cards used in the OPDS-100, OPDS-100D and the most recently released OPDS-5D. As an independent third-party, the laboratory provides evaluation services for determining the trustworthiness of information technology (IT) cybersecurity products. They conducted the evaluation using the Common Methodology for Information Technology Security Evaluation and found that the cards are conformant with all security assurance requirements listed for EAL2. This certification is recognized by 26 different countries globally.
“This certification testing is a crucial part of our product development plan,” stated Sal Morlando, Director of Operations at Owl. “Our customers rely on us for the security of their networks and this type of respected 3rd party testing enables them to verify that our products perform as designed and advertised.”
This Common Criteria evaluation asserts that the product complies with the security requirements specified in the Security Target, a specification document that defines the scope of the evaluation activities. The Security Target and Report for the certification are available at this URL: http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/products.
“Compliance, accreditation and certification are extremely important to the work that we do,” noted Dr. Ronald Mraz, President and CEO of Owl. “We are a recognized and trusted provider of cybersecurity and we invest significantly to make sure we maintain the highest quality and security standards for our products.”
