Key Capabilities
XD Chat integrates as a chat server proxy between classified and unclassified networks, terminating sessions on the sending side and initiating a new session with the destination side. This architecture lets you enable secure cross-domain chat without redesigning infrastructure or introducing new chat servers.
Every chat message is normalized, filtered, and validated before it crosses domains, ensuring only authorized information flows between high-side and low-side networks. Security controls include dirty words, security labels, LDAP/authorized user list and other filtering, providing security teams granular control while still enabling fast, real-time collaboration for operators.
XD Chat interoperates with proprietary and open-source platforms like Cisco Jabber® and Openfire™, with additional chat platforms on the way soon. You keep familiar user tools and existing servers while adding cross-domain enforcement, reducing retraining, migration risk, and deployment timelines.
XD Chat integrates with Owl V2CDS and XD Bridge ST to securely transport structured chat messages across domains. This extends the value of your existing cross-domain stack, giving you an end-to-end, Raise the Bar–aligned solution for mission chat.
