Maximum Resilience Meets High‑Speed Protection with Owl Talon v3.3

Maximum Resilience Meets High‑Speed Protection with Owl Talon v3.3

We’re proud to announce the release of Owl Talon v3.3, the latest evolution of our globally trusted data diode platform. Built for the world’s most sensitive environments, Owl Talon v3.3 delivers enhanced usability and expanded capabilities—empowering customers to safeguard mission critical operations, maintain uptime, and securely move data with confidence.

Owl Talon v3.3 builds on Owl’s 25+ years of one‑way networking expertise to deliver uncompromising security and absolute separation between operational (OT) and information (IT) networks—preventing data leakage, external tampering, and cyber threats while keeping critical processes running without interruption. With this proven foundation of security and performance, Owl Talon v3.3 introduces several enhancements including High Availability configuration, expanded security and usability improvements, and additional ultra‑high‑speed transfer protocol support—further strengthening protection for our customers’ most critical networks.

High Availability Configuration: Zero Downtime for Mission-Critical Operations

For mission‑critical operations that cannot risk downtime, our Owl Talon One‑High Availability (OTO‑HA) configuration pairs two data diodes for seamless failover, ensuring 24/7 uptime, no data loss, and secure one‑way OT‑to‑IT transfers—even during outages or maintenance. Now available in Owl Talon v3.3, an OTO-HA configuration supports flexible protocols and data types, maximizing operational continuity and strengthening cybersecurity protection.

Enhanced Security & Usability Features

Owl Talon data diodes, including protocol filtering diodes, come standard with multi‑layered defense for critical networks. With the release of Owl Talon v3.3, in addition to SELinux enforcement, BIOS password protection, AIDE monitoring, and disk encryption, the Owl Talon platform offers also offer TPM binding to secure keys to hardware to prevent tampering or spoofing for uncompromising, trusted one‑way data transfers.

To improve usability and streamline workflows, Owl Talon’s new export/import configuration feature enables customers to significantly reduce deployment time when upgrading their systems. This capability allows an existing Owl Talon configuration to be saved and restored in a single step after a software update—eliminating the need for manual reconfiguration.

Owl Talon Torrent: Next-Gen High‑Speed Data Diodes

Our just-launched Owl Talon Torrent appliances, which feature the industry’s fastest-ever protocol filtering data diode card pair, are now integrated with Owl Talon v3.3 software platform for an improved user experience. Available in a 1U appliance (supports file transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps) or 2U appliance (supports file transfer speeds of up to 100 Gbps) and featuring an all-new FPGA-based protocol filtering diode architecture, Owl Talon Torrent protocol filtering diodes enable ultra-low latency, ultra-high speed one way file transfer (RFTS) and high speed TCP-PA support without exposure risk or possibility of inbound cyber intrusion.
