Danbury, CT April 27th, 2020– Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC (“Owl”), the global market leader in cross domain and network security solutions announced today the addition of Sudhir Nelvagal as VP, Engineering. In this role, Sudhir will focus on implementing long-term product development strategies key to the organization’s aggressive growth plans. He will also oversee the integration of Owl’s engineering teams among its two offices in Danbury, CT and Columbia, MD.

Sudhir is an accomplished engineering executive with over 20 years’ experience leading high performing, globally distributed development organizations. After beginning his career at Cincom Systems Inc. as a senior technical contributor on the Advanced Technology Database team, Sudhir joined GE Healthcare and held progressive roles and was the Director of Software Engineering in their Enterprise Imaging Software group developing solutions for the Radiology and Cardiology markets. During this time, he successfully introduced and led the rollout of Agile methodologies in a highly regulated industry and led the development and delivery of GE Healthcare’s Next Generation Imaging platform.
Sudhir then went on to join GE Oil and Gas Subsea Controls division, now BakerHughes, in the UK, as global head of Software Engineering, where he led all software development activities in product and requisition engineering for large subsea controls platforms. Most recently, he served as Digital Mission Leader at GE Research in Schenectady, NY, where he led the development and delivery of GE’s pioneering Cloud based Analytics Workbench and Digital Twin platform in the Industrial Internet of Things space, and subsequently led the effort to raise the software product quality of Additive Printers to conform to Aviation standards.
